Within terms of a wide-ranging support of our customers in the development of welded plastic products, BRANSON is cooperating within the scope of a development partnership with PART - Plastics and Rubber Technology GmbH as an engineering company for the development of technical plastic components. PART is contributing with comprehensive knowledge in the area of calculation, component design and construction. BRANSON, as a welding machine manufacturer, is backed up by decades of experience in applied technology in almost all serial welding processes. PART conducts simulation calculations, for example, so that conceptual feasibility can be already verified in early phases of product development. For instance, the following tasks can be carried out within the scope of a development project:
- Choice of procedure
- Choice of material
- Component and weld joint design
- Mechanical dimensioning and optimising of weld joint and component
- Prototype production
- Carrying out welding experiments and process optimisation
- Economic and operational efficiency calculation
PART works towards this with the following methods and aids:
- Finite Elements Method (FEM)
- 3D-CAD
- Risk analysis using FMEA
- Systematic concept finding according to VDI Directive 2221
