Welding technology

Tailored for every application
Employing ultrasonic energy with high power for joining plastics led to the establishment of this production branch in the 60s. A technology that developed rapidly. Branson quickly advanced to become the world's leading supplier. The first fully digital generator was another milestone of engineering development placed by Branson years ago.

As a dedicated partner of technology we have also helped vibration welding technology to truly establish itself in the market. It became obvious during the 70s that ultrasonics technology was meeting its limits there where joining seams need to be welded without interruption and with greater surfaces. A similar rational joining method was sought for modified plastics. Especially the automotive industry recognised the outstanding potentials of vibration technology.

Hot plate welding is the oldest of the permanent plastics joining processes. For many applications and materials it continues to be the method of choice.

Laser welding is the latest plastic joining technology and its potentials have not been exploited by far.

The broad range of plastics joining methods offered by us permits us to evaluate them for any given application and to propose subsequently a well-founded solution.
Achieving this requires not only mechanical technology but now also software solutions, which play an increasingly important role in optimising the procedures and increasing the availability and life-span of our machines.

The presence of Branson worldwide is a further positive aspect, if this project has to be realized beyond national borders.
